🌼Wow! 🌼 This is the 65,000 sq ft Centre for 🌼Wow! 🌼 This is the 65,000 sq ft Centre for Cancer Prevention and Support (CCPS) still under construction here in our beautiful Vancouver hospital district. This facility will not only be Canada’s hub for all the brilliant minds to meet and work together towards prevention education & obliteration of all cancers.... it will also be a much needed lodge with 64 beds for patients receiving treatment. An extremely affordable safe haven for so many who are unable to afford the costs of getting to the care 🌼 So why am I here social distancing with @meghangailbrown & @joldmanvan in a hard hat and unattractive mandatory steel toe footwear ? Art of course. I’m honoured to be contributing my time to the up coming #DaffodilBall 🌼Live auction this April 17 2021 🌼For me this contribution is personal. When it comes to cancer I feel helpless and hurt. I lost my mother to an aggressive leukaemia in 1994. She was young and so was I. Looking back I feel that there was so much more that could’ve been done to help her and prevent her life being cut short.
