#ThisIsPersonal #DaffodilBall25 Dear reader💛When I choose to donate my work, it’s always towards something I feel a connection to. It’s not always a personal connection...most times I allow my intuition to guide me to the “yes” answer 🌼This particular donation of my art is personal🌼Very very personal🌼Like so many of us...( almost all of us actually) cancer has found its unwelcomed way into our life’s story. I have few regrets 💛 I honestly feel blessed to have the life I have. But, the one thing I often think about...is how my life would have been if I had not lost my mother to cancer (leukaemia) at a crucial young age. As a woman...making all sorts of important decisions that only a mother could have guided me towards success 🌼 Would her wisdom and real love have prevented some unnecessary grief?so much lost time on roads of terrible struggle? I’m certain she would have had some great advice (would I have listened?) with an often needed empathetic embrace to heal my pain. All I can do is just wonder... 🌼 Cancer treatments and prevention information continue to advance... but... again... it’s never fast enough when you lose someone too soon. So this year, my art really is here to serve a purpose. The centre for research & prevention is a gift to our life...city and to our country. Lot #151 in the Live Auction category 🌼 my heart is there to contribute in the shape of a canvas. 3 in fact. In honour of my Mother. In honour of all who fell fighting from the inside out. It’s the best I can do to give. To support the system of doctors, researchers and all who have dedicated their life to make ours better 🌼April 17th. Log on.
